Hey, what do I wear?

Good Question! I called a couple of our female people and posed the question to them. This is my best translation as to what they said:

Friday get together/sandwich supper - -comfortable and casual

Saturday continental breakfast - - comfortable and casual

Banquet: When I asked that question, I got, whatever you feel comfortable in will be fine, but probably on the dressy side. Three women that I talked to said they had sparkly outfits. They said this is definitely not a formal affair, but as far as I can figure out, most will use the occasion to dress up.

The men will probably be expected to complement the look their wives select.

It is about as clear as mud to me, but my sweety will make it clear when it comes time to get dressed, I'm sure.

The Golf Tournament
Saturday Morning June 2

Greetings golfers,

The head golfer, Larry Glenn, has set up for the class golfers to play 18 holes at Canon Air Force Base. We are to be checked in at the main gate by 9:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007. The guys who have indicated a desire to play ( the list below ) have submitted the required admittance information and will be admitted to the golf course after a preliminary check-in. The time to check-in could take only a minute or could be several minutes. It is suggested that you should be there early so the bottleneck will not interfere with our tee off schedule. Think 8:30 to be sure. Larry says that the Pro-shop restaurant is a good place for breakfast. If you are eating there, you should allow more time.

The golfers:

Jimmy Burrows
Jimmy Craven
Jerry Dorough
George Franklin
Harrell Fulcher
Don Gillis
Larry Glenn
Neal Gosset
Darrell Holland
Steve Hurst
Mike Johnson
Cletis Jones
Bob Norris
Maurice Roberson
Gene Jameson

We have resereved morning tee times for 20. If you want to play, please let us know ASAP. We are playing at Cannon, and there are some requirements to get on a government facility.

Greetings my friends,

We have just about got everything in order for the big reunion. As soon as we get the final program organized, we will post it here. Understandably, many have asked, "Who is coming?" Until this week, we really did not know. The deadline for registrations came May the first, and reservations and book orders poured in. We have had 211 make reservations. Today, we made up a list for printing the name tags and I thought you might like to see that list.

CHS 50th Reunion Letter

February 23, 2007

Hello Clovis High School Classmates!!

Here is the letter you've all been waiting for, filled with information about our 50th Anniversary Class Reunion! The Reunion Committee has been working hard to make it a special occasion, so we hope you will make a special effort to come.

The reunion will be held on Friday, June 1, and Saturday, June 2,2007, at the Clovis Civic Center, 801 Schepps Blvd (on East 7th by Clovis Community College). We will begin Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. with a casual time for socializing and a light sandwich buffet at 5:00 p.m. We can visit as long as we want! Activities for Saturday begin at 10:00 a.m. with a continental breakfast followed by our traditional auction-always so much fun! You are encouraged to bring something for the auction which reflects the part of the country where you live, or if you have a special talent for making something, that's always popular. Saturday evening events begin at 5:30 p.m. with a mixer; class pictures will be taken at 6:30. We want all classmates to be included in the pictures, so please be there for that! The Saturday evening banquet will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will include great entertainment followed by a live band and dancing. A no-host bar will be available throughout the reunion and will also have assorted soft drinks.

You'd think that so many activities would be terribly expensive, and they are! But we have been fortunate to have a savings account with excess funds from our last r9union which keeps your cost for this reunion down! We are askinq $30.00 per person, payable in advance with your reservation. This is the cost regardless of how many events you attend. Since we must turn in a count to the caterers for the food, we are also asking that you indicate the meals for which you will be present on your registration form. This is very important so that we have enough food and/or don't have to pay for food we don't need.

It's also important to note that we will also have a Reunion Book and CD available with current information concerning our classmates. Many of you have already responded with your bios and pictures to Paula Cruse Davison who is overseeing this huge project. Please get your information to her no later than March 31. We would like for everyone to be included! If you send pictures that you want returned, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope and Paula will return them after she scans them. Her email address is btofw@aoLcom and her snail mail address is 3336 S. Jenkins Road, Ft. Pierce, FL 34981. The cost of the book will be $20.00 and the CD will be $10.00. They must be ordered in advance and are payable with your registration for the reunion. These will be very nice books / CDs and will make a great keepsake. We will be glad to mail one to you for an additional postage charge of $5.00, also Payable in advance, if you cannot attend the reunion.

Many of you will require motel accommodations. We are providing a list for your information and convience at the end of this letter. There are many located in the area of the Clovis Civic Center and one on the north side of Clovis.

Rumor has it that a highly competitive golf tournament is being planned for

Please complete the encfosed (orm and return it with your money to

Reunion Committee

We look forward to seeing each one of you for this wonderful celebration of US on June 1 & 2! Please let us know if you have any questions!

Deposits for the 2007 Reunion location have been made. The new Clovis Civic Center is the place. June 1 & 2 is the time.

Finding the CCC is easy. It is on a street that was here when we went to school. Let's take an imaginary walk .... Remember the original High School building at 7th & Main? Good! In your minds eye, walk down the front steps facing 7th Street. Go to the street and turn left. After a long, long walk, past Sycamore, past Norris, almost to Shepps and there it is, on the left, the Clovis Civic Center.
