Greetings!
We are putting up this blog to keep everyone informed about what's going on. First, we have put up a new website - exciting, huh?
Be sure and check your information for accuracy, and if you know about any of the missing people, please notify us.

Wow, can you believe it's been almost 50 years since we walked the halls of CHS? No matter which building we graduated from, we represent the best! Go Cats!
Another thing that's hard to believe is that our Committee representing the Classes of 1956 and 1957 was formed up in 1995 and since then we've organized two really great reunion parties. Now that we have all this experience, we're going to have a really big one - the Five O.
Last year committee members starting talking informally when we met at restaurants and such - you know - hi George we need to get together and start planning our 50th, dontcha think? Yes, we all thought that was a great idea... later. Well, later is here and we are going to have a Lunch meeting, February 21 to select a date for the next reunion.
As soon as we have a meeting we will put more information on this blog. Check back often!

So good to see the website back on and running. As for plans for the reunion, I have a lot of information in the Book of Memories and I won't be able to keep it up. Do I have any volunteers to continue the book? If so, I will send the book and a CD (in Word) to anyone who would like to update it and distribute it at the reunion. Let me know.
Who is in charge of organizing the reunion this year?
Patsy Tinker Phyfe (tinktwins@aol.com) Please title your email to me, reunion.
Hey everyone, Sandra Bevell Hodges was at our house yesterday talking with me about the 50th reunion coming up in June. She was in the dark about a lot of things??? So tell all the classmates you are in contact with to check out the "blog" (that sounds so dumb)and our class website and they will be "in the know" or to go back to the 50's.....they will have the skinney on what is happening. Work on updating your bios and get them to Paula post haste......see you all in June.
Mickey Simms (still in Clovis after all these years, just can't seem to get enough money together to get out of town.)
was wondering if the committee had sent out information of the june reunion, i might have missed it.
its valentines day and getting close to the date... i don't get back to clovis anymore so am not familiar with what is available and thus cannot make reservations.

HELP !! I am trying hard to get to Clovis for the 50th Reunion. I have heavy committments in Houston on Friday June 1 and Saturday June 2nd until 1:30 PM, but can catch a 3 PM plane to Lubbock arriving at 5:30 PM. NOW the problem. How long is the drive from Lubbock Airport to Clovis (wherever the reunion photo and dinner is to take place?)
What is a near by motel to stay in? Same as before. Holiday Inn and I forgot the name of the other?
I must leave early early Sunday morning to get to Philadelphia and Atlantic City.
Long run for a quick time in Clovis, IF I can get there on time.

I forgot to tell you where to send info to me. Please send advice and info to kmattox@aol.com
Hope to see you on Saturday night.
What is Nancye Williams Gressett talking about, we are getting older. I am busier now than in 2001. I will admit that after my coronary artery bypass in 2002, I did slow down to 18-20 hours work a day. One gets bypasses, cancer removed, knees fixed, hips replaced, etc. in order to be able to know ones anatomy and to function at a greater pace. I am looking forward to our 75th !! reunion. I am looking forward to catching up and hearing about all of your grandkids, bad investments (?Enron), ideas to solve the Iraqi situation, and do a survey about your preferences for President in 2008. I do have my own opinions, but my first choice is not running as a candidate.
